WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT A SERVICE?
It is an energetic, passionate, and life-changing experience! We come ready to worship and praise Jesus, expecting that He will change lives for the better!
When service starts, we begin with worship. Our worship team leads in roughly 30 minutes of praise and worship. We sing songs of all different genres in our Sunday services. While in worship, some are outwardly passionate while others are more soft-spoken and reserved. We encourage our members to take a step toward Christ in worship in whatever manner that means for them!
During worship we will have a moment of giving. Giving is one of the greatest ways we can worship and this is always a crucial part of our praise. Our ushers will pass around giving plates where you can give your tithe and offering. We also have opportunities for online giving. That being said, we do not believe in pressuring people to give. Giving is something we believe should come from the heart. Only give if you feel comfortable and would like to.
In the last half of our service you will hear a moving message by our pastor or a member of our ministry staff. This portion will last roughly 30 minutes and will be full of scripture, encouragement, instruction, and challenge to seek God in a deeper way. After the sermon we will have a time to respond to the word. We encourage members and guests alike to respond to the word of God by taking our next step in Him!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! We aren’t focused on what you are wearing! With that being said, you will find that most attendees of River of Life will be dressed up on a Sunday, with a more casual setting for the midweek services
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Youth
The Current is the name of our youth/student ministry at River of Life Muncie. We have a thriving and growing youth group ages 12-18! Typically, Sunday nights are youth nights at the River. We host events such as game nights, hangouts, out of town trips, youth services, and more! Our youth also love attending a summer camp with students from all over the state! Kids
Children's Ministry at the River is an exciting, creative, safe, and educational experience! We have special classes for kids every Sunday at 1pm and Tuesday at 7pm during Bible class. If it’s your first time, we encourage you to show up a little early so that we can give you a tour of our incredible kids program and safe check-in process. Our kids also love attending a summer camp with other kids from all over the state! Connect with us to find out more!
